Original Article with Winners Below - This past Thursday, SEGA released three downloadable content packs for its critically acclaimed title, Valkyria Chronicles. The new content -- which prolongs the playing experience significantly -- offers gamers the opportunity to play as Selveria, take part in a new difficulty mode entitled Hard Mode EX, and play through Edy’s Mission. In our opinion, Valkyria Chronicles is one of, if not the best, role-playing game of this generation thus far.
Due to our love (staff and our readers) of the title, SEGA feels that we deserve a super sweet giveaway that you won't be able to find in many other places. While some of you were banking on a copy of the game, that’s not it. If you’re looking to pick up a copy, you should check out GameStop as they’re running a deal where you can purchase it for $29.99. However, they can’t run that deal forever, so we suggest you take advantage of it as soon as possible.
Though we didn’t receive a copy of the game to give away, we did receive 10 Valkyria Chronicles figures that are uber rare and imported from Japan. Furthermore, this contest is open to entrants throughout Europe and North America. Seven of the figures will come in random boxes and be exclusive to our European readers, while the remaining three figures shall show up assembled to your mailbox and belong to our North American crowd.
Submitting an entry into the contest is easy as pie and anybody can enter, even if you don’t own the game. In the comment section below, simply list which country you represent and answer the following question.

By answering this question, your entry into the contest will be finalized. We will be choosing our 10 winners come Monday night at roughly 10 PM CST.

Hard EX mode because it gives me a chance to see how good I am in a higher difficulty setting. I'll most likely have to refine my gameplay a lot to beat the missions and skirmshes which will make this game seem new again

I would have to say the Selvaria DLC. I recently bought the game at the Gamestop promotion mentioned in the article. I love this game so much, that I am willing to buy another copy if I had to. I hear that it is fantastic with loads of content in it, plus Selvaria is easy on the eyes o_O. Though I'm sure you couldn't go wrong with any of the DLC mentioned
Oh and btw, I represent the USA baby!

I would like to download Edy’s Mission Enter the Edy Detachment because I like the idea of soliders trying to reunite with their squad, similar to that of Star Wars Clone Wars and the new Halo. It allows the player to experience what it would be like to be away from the men u trust in battle and rely on yourself and be on your own

Selvaria's DLC is the one that interests me the most (already bought all the DLC, have yet to play them though :)) because I am confident it will provide a great opportunity to spend some time with a beloved character. Being able to experience the gallian conflict from the point of view of the empire should be interesting,all the more so since we get to fight against an arrogant and incompetent gallian character to claim what was possibly the most shining victory for the Empire during that conflict. It is my understanding that the selvaria DLC includes a map based on the chapter 15 level. I am really looking forward to playing that level as Selvaria. How ardently I wished for the possibility to control someone of her abilities as I was fighting her in that chapter in the main story !

im representing canada! my choice of DLC would be selveria's mission pack, because i have rented the game and loved it, and now want to play the other side of the story.....woulkd be great to :D

I am most looking forward to Selveria's Misson. The game is awesome as the good guys, but it would be sweet to see it from the other perspective as well. Selveria always intrigued me from when I first saw her and this would only further that intruge along.
Edy's mission also interests me as my number two choice for dlc.

I don't think 'interest' plays much of a factor as i bought all three the day they came out, I'm sure the guy at the corner store was wondering what i needed a prepaid visa for at 2am when my pay came through. xD
In any event, i was most excited for the Edy dlc, mostly because of Marina... okay, entirely because of marina. :( she's my favourite character AND she now has lines and contributes to a plot? that's gold to me. not only that, but homer and edy are there too? what could go wrong! well, other then that corner store not having any cards and little ol' me having to wait 18 agonizing hours until the next days shift was over so that i could buy the dlc. : i only just got to play it, booted up edy detachment first and... well... it was worth it.

The Selveria mission interests me the most. Being able to play from a different perspective would essentialy means you can see the war from both sides. In fact, I've already downloaded that mission and Edy's Mission. I havn't played them yet though because I have yet to finish the game. Really Hard. >.<

I'm from the US and I like the selvaria DLC the best because she's my favorite character in valkyria chronicles (i mean come on, shes' a a valkyrie!) BTW thsi game is awesome!

The Selveria missions becuase it will give me insight into what the battles are like for the Imperials, how they see the war. Also the fact that Selveria herself will be playable sounds incredibly fun, who wouldn't want to do that? I can't wait to download these so I can play Valkyria again.

i think the best one of the "expansions" is the hard ex mode, why? because it adds replayability to te whole game, not just one or 2 more chapters, and because of the dificulty the adventure sure last longer! =D, greetings from Monterrey Mexico

Probably The Hard EX mode, more, stronger enemies and without your tank, makes it basically a whole new game (with orders tho?).. cant wait to get it and new weapons to unlock, this one interests me the most.

I'd have to go with "Selveria's Mission 'Behind Her Blue Flame'". Seeing her go the way she did really placed a cloud over my head, and her cutscenes before that event really made me feel for her. So, anything that can let me see some of her (and the Imp's) story has got my dollars!

Selvaria's Mission because I think it would be really cool to be able to see what the enemies see and try to counter act what you are normally doing, it would be completly opposite of what you usual strategy would be and you would get to be in control of the other sides arms and weapons.

I would probably have to say that Selvaria's DLC is probably the most engaging and intricate. Selvaria's mission allows players to view the other side of the fierce battle of Gallia. It allows players to see the internal strifes and conflicts the opposing army faces. It also allows players to see Selvaria's feelings, ambitions and outlook on the army, is she fighting for the country or love for her leader. I was extremely excited to play this mission because of the idea of "being in someone else's shoes." Thanks SEGA for allowing Americans to play this enticing mission of Valkyria Chronicles.

I'd love to win this prize, I live in NA and I'm most interested in the HardEx download content because the game does not change difficulties after you complete it and have everything leveled up, but this will make it more challenging if that's what you're asking for.

Well, the most valuable DLC content is Selvaria's history. The chance of playing with such a kick a** character really pumps me up. I bet everyone wanted to have her in his team after having his a** kicked in some mission by that da** weapon she has.
And over all that, she's such a charismatic character, even as the enemy. And we can't forget she's the hottest female too!

I think the most interesting one is the Hard mode EX because i thought the game was a challenge enough as is. I feel with the new difficulty added to the game, anything can happen. The computer will be able to make any unpredictable move that a human could make.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the Edy's Mission "Edy's Detachment" DLC was the most enticing of the DLC's because the "Hard EX mode" and the "Opposing Force" modes are so cliche. Who doesn't like playing the underdog and defending a tiny village from certain destruction. It sets off an adrenaline rush through your body that just makes you feel warm and fuzzy after taking down every "imp." Valkyria Chronicles successfully creates a level in which takes the POV of a minor character and evolves it into its very own substory. Just the sheer ineptitude of the game makes every character memorable and in a way, truly makes Valkyria Chronicles a game, no collector's piece worth playing for every individual. I won't spoil anything for anyone anymore.
